We were so excited when we heard my sister and her kids were coming to the US from Germany. Thankfully, (although not to them) due to the incompetence of our Government, they were here for WAY LONGER than they had planned. Luckily, they made the most of the exciting trip to Michigan and we got some much needed bonding time.

I can't believe how big my babies are! They have both had birthdays now - Jack is 7 (yeah, that's not a typo, it's a SEVEN!!!) and Claire is now officially a toddler! CRAZY HOW FAST THE TIME GOES!!!!!!!!!

At long last we have started our addition! Although there have been a few bumps in the road, the headaches and bickering that come along with them will long be forgotten once the clothes are finally hung in our walk in closet and the baby is in her own room. It's typical that such big decisions are argued about between couples I am sure. (They are, right?) I've decided to make a conscience effort to just let go and be thankful for what God is providing instead of dwelling on the little things....so as soon as I win the carpet vs. hardwood floor battle I quit! We are fortunate enough to have a house, how can I complain?
